该车是美泰早期产品之一，最早于1997年在上海环球生产。塑料底盘无避震，左右侧窗敞开。首版以一个黑色车身红色条纹精品版和一个无涂装清漆版，入选当年的Inaugural Collection（IG）“新开端”精品系列。同年底，该车的一个底盘经过精细涂装的银蓝色精品版以Ultra Collectibles（UC超级精品）形式发行。1998年，该车的金色涂装被选入当年的75 Challengers（75C）收藏品系列。1999年该车开始在南海官窑生产。2003年，美泰公司对该车进行了改版，修改了制造商信息和火柴盒商标样式。2004年底，一个经过精细涂装的墨绿色涂装出现在当年的美泰新版超高速（NSF）系列，并在美国销售。2006年该车开始在泰国生产。2008年该车再度出现在十件套（10-Pack）合集中。2010年，该车入选“莱斯尼纪念版”（Lesney Edition[LSE]），采用合金底盘并首次在底盘上标注了MB298编号，该版本使用美泰圆角长方形商标。
